Hello people! This blog is for all those who wants to have a superpower . The superpower through which you’ll think of something that you want to exist in the world, and then you go, and make it a reality. Yes I am talking about the superpower of coding! The power through which you can  change the world , serve humanity plus earn lots of money (who doesn’t want that :P) .Computer programming is an incredibly empowering skill to learn, it’s a weapon to understand how things work.

You don’t have to be a genius to know how to code , you need to be determined and by learning, practicing and  understanding the basic fundamentals of computer science and the tech world, you can easily learn how to program .

Coding is an extremely creative and powerful skill. Just like art and fashion, code is about creativity, its like a craft ,  like playing an instrument or painting ,the longer you do it for, the better you will become and that people who have these skills have the power to shape our future – and often have. No need to give examples here …..right? We all are familiar with the various applications we use in our day-to-day lives from  shopping online  from amazon to learning from the wealth of resources available online to how we communicate with our friends and families through Facebook or the various messaging apps and the funny face swaps and filters we laugh out at through Snap chat , whether we realise it or not , code touches everything we do.

Women are essential in forging digital progress and knowing how to code is the key to exploring and creating the newest frontier, but sadly women are still underrepresented in the STEM fields. The proportion of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) has a mere percentage of 18 and statistics prove that men still dominate the science and tech world . Women must take initiative and learn how to program and understand the tech world and break these gender stereotypes.  Learning how to code gives you a chance to make your imagination fly to an extent and you can also make your work useful for future generations 🙂

I thought of creating this blog basically for my learning and understanding and I strongly agree that the best way to learn something is to teach it. So I’ll be posting everyday whatever I’ll study and learn ,which in turn will make my concepts all the way more clear. What motivated me to write this blog is that through coding we enjoy thinking creatively about how to solve problems everyday and  I loved that I am always learning.

Also there were some inspirations behind it.  The supermodel Karlie Kloss, yes she is a former Victoria’s Secret Angel (and I am a huge fan  of Victoria’s Secret 😀 ) who has her own  coding camp kodewithklossy ,which empowers girls to learn to code and become leaders in tech.

The other day I came across an article about Drew Houston in which he told how he got the idea for Dropbox  ,as a result of his frustration when he was travelling from Boston to New York on a bus and forgot his thumb drive. (You can have a look at his full story here).

And the person who has always been my driving force, who’s constantly with me, always guides and motivates me to work harder and  tells me that I can do it .( means a lot  🙂 ). There can be anybody who can be our idol, to whom we look up to, but it all depends on us to constantly increase our learning curve.

So in this blog we will be learning  about the following topics

  • Full stack development
  • Algorithms
  • Data structures
  • Python Programs
  • A math aptitude problem/ puzzle for a day
  • Interview preparation
  • Current affairs (to see what’s happening around the world!)

Technologies develop very quickly, so if we want to stay relevant we need to always be learning on the side. So let’s get started right away with it.

Happy coding! 🙂
